Funding Letters

The letters are all some what different but have one similarity that sticks throughout which is asking for money. That is an obvious similarity, however there are so many different ways you can ask for money which leads me into the differences of each letter. Down City Design, and United We Dream Action both asked for money in the best ways in my opinion.  They stated their information, accomplishments and goals FIRST, and then ended with kindly asking for a donation.  This was a great way to ask for the money because after stating all of the great things that the organization has been doing, you can explain how a donation would allow you to keep performing those amazing actions. I thought that International Rescue Committee's letter was so intimidating and pushy. They first started off with asking for money, which I don't think you should ever do because you should always start off with the WHY and work your way out.
